We believe that effectively working with parents is key to a pupil flourishing at school.
Formal parents’ evenings appear on the school calendar. In addition to these, parents have the opportunity to meet with their child’s tutor during the year to review overall progress, attendance and attitude.
We aim to communicate with parents as regularly as possible and we will contact parents early to flag up any minor concerns. Likewise, we encourage parents to contact us in relation to any issues they need to discuss.
We invite parents to come in to school for family workshops particularly at KS4 to look at examination requirements and structured revision programmes. We also hold informal coffee mornings to enable parents to chat informally.
The introduction of Show My Homework has proved to be an invaluable app allowing parents to keep a track of what homework has been set and whether it has been completed on time. Parents can also view any resources online.
