Bescot Promotions joined forces with Cannock Chase Council to launch an Easter art competition for youngsters living in the Cannock area. Twelve lucky youngsters had the chance to win a very special Easter egg or an Easter goody bag to share with their family and friends.
To be in with a chance of winning, children simply needed to draw a picture based on what Easter means to them.
We are very proud to announce that the winner of this competition was SHANNON CRADDOCK in Year 8.
3 of the runners-up also attend Norton Canes High School: Keeley McCandless in Year 8, Stephen Lewis and Jodie Grice in Year 9.
The artwork will go on display in a special exhibition in Cannock Town Centre, where the empty HALLMARK CARDS shop will be transformed into a children’s art gallery.
Stephen Cox from Cannock Chase District Council quoted, ” A high proportion of the entries came from students of Norton Canes High School, and the quality of the work was excellent.”
Watch out for Shannon in the Express and Star this week.
